Meet Camilla

Camilla discovered yoga during her first pregnancy 10 years ago. Her pre-natal classes brought her deep sense of calm. She later turned to Hatha, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa forms of yoga to release the stresses of graduate school, chronic illness and parenting.
Camilla earned her Master's degree in social work from the University of Texas. While working as a counselor with abuse survivors, Camilla saw the need to increase her ability to foster mind-body awareness in herself and her clients.
When Camilla read an article about Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, she immediately scheduled her first session. Soon after, she left her job and dedicated the next year to studying the mind-body connection at the Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy training center in Massachusetts.
Camilla earned her Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist certification after completing 650 hours of training in assisted posture technique, therapeutic dialog, guided meditation, body/mind integrative techniques, and applied anatomy.
